Environmental education directory

Find links to hundreds of sustainability lesson plans, activities and resources in the environmental education directory.

We’ve sourced them from:

  • Australian government departments

  • water corporations

  • parks and wildlife associations

  • environmental organisations

  • citizen science projects

  • soil organisations

  • educational institutes

  • sustainability education providers.

Many of the lesson plans, resources and activities are linked to the Australian Curriculum which means that they’re useful to teachers across Australia. The resources will help you teach subjects like Science, Geography and the Sustainability cross-curriculum priority.

The really good news is that you can submit your favourite sustainability lesson plans to the directory. For example, if you use a great unit of work on waste, let us know and we’ll share it on this website. The more lesson plans and resources we have to share, the more everyone can use them to teach students about the environment.

Naturally, students who learn and understand more about the environment will make an effort to protect it. That’s why we want them to learn relevant, local information about our environment.
